Cubenx – Wait & See

You’ll see that one of the selected tracks for my Summer 2011 playlist is Cubenx’s Lovebirds, which is the b-side from the Mexican’s recently released Wait & See EP, out on the excellent InFiné Records imprint. I reviewed it for Data Transmission this week.
If you don’t know about InFiné Records, they’re a French label who release house and techno at the more avante-garde end of the scale. Fronted by label boss Agoria, the label has a pretty impressive roster and history with everyone from Carl Craig to Apparat having graced their wax in some form, at some stage throughout their life-span.
They’ve just released a new compilation of remixes, a selection from the 60 remixes the label has commissioned in its’ five-year life. It’s out this week on iTunes, and serves as the perfect introduction to one of France’s less obvious, but most worthy musical outlets.
