What is the purpose of this blog? 

This website is primarily a place for me as a writer to publicise what I’m doing. This means updates about recently published articles and reviews, and  links to work published online, as well as an arena in which I can share what I’m reading, indulging in or listening to.

It is also intended as a landing spot for anyone looking to find out a little more about me. For instance, you can check out my previous reviews and scroll through a timeline of published works. I eventually intend the site to present a portfolio of former work.

Where can I read some of your past work?

Most of my previous record reviews are available online here.

If you want to see any of my previously published features, interviews or travel writing please contact me directly.

Are second print or foreign market rights available for any of your previously published work?

Yes. I have had travel articles translated and published in Mandarin. Second print and foreign rights are available on nearly all of my works (apart from my reviews).  Please contact me directly for more information.

Where can I access a more detailed and exhaustive over-view of your writing?

I’m working on it.  I hope to soon have a bibliography of previously published articles and features on the website.

Do you write for free, or do you earn a living doing this?

In September 2011 I returned to full-time study and as such freelance writing is a substantial source of income.  My view is if the editors and publishers are earning from the published content,  so should the writer.

On occasion, I do write for free (depending on what it is I’m writing and who I’m writing for).

Do you do social media?

I occasionally tweet here.

Do you also write fiction?

Yes.

At some point I hope to (somehow) split my blog into three zones; one for the music orientated posts, one for my general freelance news and the other as a forum for my fiction.
