Whilst I don’t expect everyone’s tastes to stretch to the glossy, feel-good EDM that Avicii has taken to the top of the charts, his position as a figurehead of dance music is undeniable.

I caught up with Avicii and interviewed him for a relatively short Mixmag article. Now you can read the transcript of the entire interview. Dutch production duo TJ Kong and Modular K release their album Dream Cargoes today on Steve Bug’s Poker Flat label.

It’s a conceptual trip into early electronic and techno soundscapes, and it works almost flawlessly.

Shut your eyes and you could almost be exploring the snowy landscape of a  bleak Detroit winter in the mid 1980s. Pure techno fetishism.
