German Anagrams

I love it when music producers get in touch with me via this blog. For me as a writer, direct contact from those making music with me writing about music is the world-wide-web at its most refreshing and innovative: a fusion stream of ideas and musicality between two individuals. It’s especially good when the quality of the music involved is as high as that of Hectic Zeniths, the album I received in December from Adam Morgan Prince. Hectic Zeniths (an anagram of German word meaning ‘layers of time’) is a recording alias, album title and record label all rolled into one solid unit. Both a fantastic concept (American musical heritage wrapped around instrumental hip-hop) and a hugely enjoyable listening experience, the album is both sublime and whimsical.

I reviewed it in full for Data Transmission, and I strongly urge you to give the below video a whirl.

Step Aside (Lightweight)

Is this the finest piece of ‘underground pop’ that Visionquest have put out yet? I’m certainly inclined to think so…

Life & Death are a new quartet combination comprising of the duos Tale Of Us and Thugfucker, so it’s hardly surprising that the finished result is so intoxicating. My full review of the EP is online here.

A new EP from The Black Ghosts, featuring acoustic versions, lashes of feel-good house and twisted techno makeovers.
